Important things to know

• Here is the exam pattern and how the marks are divided among internal and external exams. Knowing about these basic things before starting our LLB preparation is very crusial though internal exam pattern is the same as like in our graduation days.
• But in externals the exam pattern and type of questions are different and one more thing is in our colleges most of us will be given required internal marks unless we make some blunder mistakes in dealing with faculty or some sort of disturbance. 
• If you are a regular student of college and do participate in college activities then assured you will get internal marks between 12-15 so you do not need to think much about internals comrade.
• But in the Osmania University LLB degree pass percentage of 40% we should need to get separatly in both external and internal. 
• If you see the below table of passing marks we need to get 12 marks in internal, and 28 in external to pass, for example, if you got a total of 20 marks in the internal and secured only 20 from the external exam, then also we failed in that subject. 
• Hope you understand the importance of external exams by now. Go through the complete write-up once if you have any doubts do clear them out as soon.
• As my seniors told most of the LLB students do fail in the first semester exams itself than any other semester because they failed to understand and prepare the syllabus accordingly. They fail those exams not because they don’t have the subject knowledge just because they failed to understand the exam pattern and prepare accordingly for external exams. so I hope you are not one of them.

External Exam Pattern OU LLB

• In the external exams, we will be given a 28-page booklet of complete white papers and a question bank, we need to write all the answers in that given 28 pages only, no extra sheets. It is better to write the answers in a concise and to the point rather than writing these answers in a story way and end up not covering all the questions asked in the exam. 
• One more thing is as we know answer paper correcting people tend to give good marks based on first impressions of your answer so try to write as many important and most crucial blocks of answer in the first 10 lines of your answer. Later any how we end up writing some stories for the questions we don’t know the exact answer but the only suggestion is don’t write those stories in the initial lines of your answer.
• There are a total of 2 parts in our OU LLB semester external exams. 
• Total time- 3 hours

• In the OU LLB external exam, Part B is the more important part as well the easy one to score good marks, since the questions asked in the part-B are very basic or we can say the over-all topic of the subject, so if we read all the previous year questions of last 5-6 years we can easily attempt these questions and get passed in the exam without any difficulty.
• Part A- is short Answers Like our Internal Exams
• Part-B is of very Big Answers we need to write lengthy answers
• Now case studies questions are giving as 10 mark question in some subjects thats why we are still providing those at the end of each subject, If you know how to attempt these questions, you will get good marks as well as to understand the subject a bit more (* you can read it as something to fill in the papers)
• One thing to keep in mind is we need to know which question in the exam paper we need to write more, it is useless to write a very big answer for 4-mark questions just because you read and know the answer very well. Even if you write a perfect answer to that question you will get only 4 marks but you will waste a lot of time and end up not attempting other questions so be very careful in this regard always keep in mind how many marks do that question carry and write the answer accordingly.

Internal Exam Pattern OU LLB

• Though internal exams look simple and easy to pass, it will be wise to get good marks in internal exams too so that your overall LLB degree marks percentage will be good. Getting a good overall llb percentage is very crucial if you are applying for any internships and later on to appear for judiciary exams for becoming a judge so try to get as many marks as possible in the internal exams.
• Every sem we will have 2 mid exams, each mid-internal exam is for 30 marks and the average of both of these internal exams will be considered. The exam pattern of internal exams changes from college to college and few colleges are so good that they don’t even conduct any internal exams, they just give good marks to every student. Those colleges are very few under Osmania so take external exams seriously but do not leave out these internal exams since as I told you our college exams are scoring and affect our overall degree percentage.
